The Asian-American TV network celebratesAsian American film and the people who make it possible
San Francisco, Calif. (March 14,2011) – MYXTV is a proud partner to the29th San Francisco International Asian-American Film Festival, the largest Asian and Asian American film festival in North America. The festival has kicked off its opening night film, West Is West, and gala at the Asian Art Museum on March 10th and will continue to bring the best of film until March 20th.
This year, MYX TV is co-presenting the world premier of the film, Resident Aliens, by filmmaker Ross Tuttle.The film tells the story of deported Cambodian refugees and how one man’s story is changed as he becomes a dance teacher and surrogate father to a breakdancing troupe of poor children in Cambodia.
Having been a film festival partner to the Centerfor Asian American Media for three years, MYX TV seals a strong partnership. “It has been a great opportunity for us to celebrate all media and the talent behind filmmaking,” shares Miguel Santos, Head of MYX TV. “San Francisco loves great movies!”
