ANA “THE HURRICANE” JULATON, THE MOST DECORATED FILIPINA BOXER IN HISTORY FIGHTS AGAINST FRANCHESCA “THE CHOSEN ONE” ALCANTER THIS MONTH

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF—February 1, 2011, Orion Sports Management, 37 Entertainment, CP Presents/Cage Combat and Philippine News, in association with The Luna Co and Philippine network giant TV5 presents “The Return of the Hurricane” on February 25, 2011 at the Craneway Pavilion in Richmond, California at six in the evening.

 

The Bay Area’s own “Female Fighting Pride of Filipinos worldwide” and WBO & IBF Superbantamweight World Champion Ana Julaton is on the quest to be the best as she fights one of her toughest challengers and defends her WBO belt against World Contender, Franchesca “The Chosen One” Alcanter. This event is much anticipated as Freddie Roach is coaching Julaton for this particular fight. Ana Julaton (born on July 5, 1980) is the first Filipino-American boxer to win the Women's WBO Super Bantamweight and IBA Super Bantamweight titles. Nicknamed “The Hurricane,” she is also one of the “quickest” boxers ever to win a world title, having fought only five other professional bouts before winning the IBA Super Bantamweight title.

 

The official fight and event will be broadcasted live in the Philippines by TV5 and also in the United States by Myx TV. This event will be an exposition which will be featuring professional boxing, amateur kickboxing and performances by the AJ Rafael Band, and Sway Penala. Special guests include commentator/analyst, two-timer former Champion Glenn “The Filipino Bomber” Donaire and the evening will be hosted by St. John and Freska of 99.7 NOW, “The Return of the Hurriance”’s media partner.

 

This event will be held at the Craneway Pavilion and is an arts and entertainment exposition featuring nine founds of amateur kickboxing, 22 rounds of professional boxing, three entertainment stages and ultimately, one WBO Title Fight. Craneway Pavilion is a world-class and sustainably designed event facility centrally located on 25 waterfront acres where it delivers awe-inducing views of the San Francisco skyline. significant.
